Inside Sales – Detergents

The Sales Representative of Detergents secures new sales of detergent products and maintains relationships with existing detergent customers. This position requires a sales professional who effectively acquires new accounts through engaging prospective customers utilizing an educational and consultative approach.

QUARTERLY ROCKS

Each quarter the Sales Representative-Detergents, will establish, with the Inside Sales Manager or VP of Sales, the specific results, improvements, or accomplishments required to support HCS and departmental objectives. These are expressed as ROCKS. 

Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Follow processes and procedures according to the “HCS Way”.

  • Call on prospects and follow-up on leads

  • Meet sales targets and report measurables at weekly sales meetings.

  • Strong ability to close a sale

  • Safely work with hazardous materials.

  • Maintain required customer contact data in CRM system

  • Demonstrate company products — digitally and in the field.

  • Travel up to 10% of the time.

  • Attends tradeshows.

  • Occasional evening and weekend hours

  • Maintain professional appearance and demeanor; maintain composure with challenging customers.

  • Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives. The intent of this position description is to guide the activities of the Sales Representative-Detergents. Requirements

Educational Requirements
Minimum GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Successful completion of a math and mechanical aptitude test.

Requirements
Certificates/Licenses: Must have valid driver’s license and be insurable under business fleet policy
Industry Experience: Minimum 3 year of sales experience required.

Physical Requirements

  • Working on the phone and computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional driving and flying for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional standing for extended periods of time.
  • Heavy, but infrequent lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Full range of motion for lifting and bending.
  • Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.
