Chemical Blender / Mixer

We are looking for a Chemical Blender to help manufacture our best-in-class soaps, detergents, and cleaning solutions. We have approximately a dozen core products that can all be mixed in varying concentrations, combinations, and with different add-ins like wax or polish. Good attention to detail, accurate reporting, and team communication are some of the attributes we look for.

We operate on a Monday-Friday, 1st shift only schedule. Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Following processes and procedures according to the HCS way.

  • Accurately following batch instructions for blending soaps.

  • Accurate documentation and record keeping.

  • Accurately check and maintain raw material and finished product inventory.

  • Conduct 5S audits and participate in LEAN initiatives.

  • Be an active participant in weekly department meetings.

  • Follow daily housekeeping procedures and keep the chemical department well organized.

  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures.

  • Wash and store drums and totes for re-use.

  • Use a forklift to move material.

  • Verify load sheets match orders and prepare delivery paperwork for shipping/delivery.

  • Minimum GED required. Must successfully pass math test.
  • Technical Experience: Previous blending and forklift experience preferred.
  • Industry Experience: 1 or more years’ experience in manufacturing industry required.

Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Wearing a full-face breathing apparatus (respirator) for extended periods of time
  • Handling chemicals
  • Interior atmospheric conditions (e.g., fumes, vapors, odors, mists, and limited ventilation)
  • Lifting up to 70 pounds repetitively, on a regular basis.
  • Lifting, raising, lowering, or moving objects. 
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, pushing, pulling, and gasping
  • Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
